Launching Rockbuster Stealth Online Movie Service

Rockbuster Stealth LLC, once a global movie rental store chain, is now facing intense competition from streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime. To remain competitive, the company’s management is planning to utilize its existing movie licenses to launch an online video rental service. Rockbuster is also preparing a strategic plan for the rollout of this new service. The aim of this project is to answer the following questions:

  • Which movies contributed the most/least to revenue gain?
  • What was the average rental duration for all videos?
  • Which countries are Rockbuster customers based in?
  • Where are customers with a high lifetime value based?
  • Do sales figures vary between geographic regions?

Staff Deployment Planning for Influenza Season

The United States experiences a seasonal influenza outbreak, leading to a surge in flu cases. Some individuals, especially those at high risk, develop severe complications requiring hospitalization. To meet the increased demand for patient care, hospitals and clinics need additional medical staff. A medical staffing agency provides this temporary workforce. This project aims to optimize staff deployment by determining the optimal timing and number of staff to send to each location during the flu season.

Market Segmentation Analysis to Uncover Sales

Instacart, an app-based online grocery store, is primarily focused on the diversity of its customer base and their purchasing behaviors. The stakeholders understand that a one-size-fits-all approach won’t work for their entire audience and are exploring a targeted marketing strategy. Their goal is to reach different customer segments with tailored marketing campaigns to assess their impact on product sales.
The objective of this project is to address the following questions:

  • What days of the week and hours of the day are busiest?
  • What times of the day do people spend the most money?
  • Are there certain types of products that are more popular than others?
  • What’s the distribution among users in regard to their brand loyalty?
  • Are there differences in ordering habits based on a customer’s loyalty status?
  • Are there differences in ordering habits based on a customer’s region?
  • Is there a connection between age and family status in terms of ordering habits?

Customer Churn Analysis

The goal of this project was to thoroughly analyze customer satisfaction data at Pig E. Bank. This analysis aimed to identify the factors contributing to customer attrition, with the ultimate objective of devising effective strategies to enhance customer retention. The aim is to answer the question, what are the key risk-factors in identifying customers who are most likely to churn?
